Here are a few of my issues - To start off with, I didn't connect with any of the characters. Now, that's okay, you don't necessarily have to connect with the characters for a story to be good (although it does help...). I really didn't like the mother figure Vivian. As a mother, I struggled with some of her decisions, actions and ways she treated her daughters. He makes some decisions that are expected to be accepted as okay and normal that I feel sheds a negative light on religious leaders.
